Behind the Practice
What inspired me to become a therapist is my own personal journey and the realization that, throughout my life, I often needed someone like the therapist I strive to be today. Growing up and even into adulthood, there were times when I felt lost and overwhelmed by the challenges of life. I longed for a non-judgmental, compassionate listener who could offer support, guidance, and understanding. That experience fueled my passion for becoming that person for others—a safe and empathetic presence who helps clients navigate their own unique paths with care and encouragement.
My approach to goal setting with clients is centered on the belief that this is their life, and they are in control of their journey. I see my role as a supportive guide, empowering clients to steer the ship and take the lead in our sessions. They decide what areas they want to focus on, and together, we collaborate to define clear, meaningful, and achievable goals. This client-centered approach ensures that their unique values, priorities, and aspirations remain at the heart of our work.
